LIFESTYLE: NEW FAVOURITE BOOK

A few days ago, I picked up a new book from Urban Outfitters. I was drawn to it because of its beautiful cover. I read the title 'Eat Pretty' and instantly was intrigued.

Eat Pretty is so inspiring and has introduced me to a whole new way to look at life. I have been trying to write a short explanation but I can't possibly begin to explain the contents of the book and I don't want to because I want you to go and get yourselves a copy, I really think this could inspire anyone to chose a healthier lifestyle.

Very big thanks to Jolene Hart for her sharing her amazing ideas. I picked up my copy for £10.99  but I've left a link below and you can grab your's on amazon for under £8!

LIFESTYLE: POLARGRAM REVIEW

Unfortunately I'm not lucky enough to have a Polaroid camera, it has been something I have looked into getting but then I always find a reason not to purchase one. As much fun as they look, I think of how inconvenient they must be. Having to carry them around, and getting the refills which are quite pricey too. So I found an alternative!

A website called "Polargram" allows you to send off your Instagram photo's and then are delivered as polaroid look-a-likes. You simply log in to your Instagram via there website and select the images you want to be printed. Personally i think the prices are very reasonable for the product you get.  12 photos = £6, 24 photos = £9 and 48 photos =£12. They aim to deliver your photos within 3-10 working days, with FREE delivery! (My first lot were very quick, my second a little longer I imagine it depends on ho busy they are at that time.)

The only downside is that you can only print pictures that have been uploaded to Instagram and I understand that you don't always want to share every single photograph with your followers.

The first bundle I ordered was an experiment, I had found this site and thought for £6 it was worth having a go. They were delivered in a cute little box and inside were my gorgeous prints and free little retro sweet which I thought was a lovely touch. I clipped them with pretty floral pegs that I found in Primark onto string and hung them around my room.

My Mum had some my baby pictures done by Polargram for my birthday, and hung them from balloons which was amazing and such a lovely idea. I also was inspired to use the polariod prints within my final piece for my photography a-level. My project was based on the 'Evolution of Music' and I had my favourite photographs from each of my shoots printed and mounted them.

Hope you enjoyed this and that you go and give Polargram a go, would love to hear what you do with your prints!

FASHION: BRANDY MELVILLE LOVIN'

Hello Everybody,

So, I may be a little late to the party BUT I have to share with you guys how obsessed I have become with Brandy Melville.

Recently on a trip to LDN, I took a visit to the Brandy Melville store on Kings Road which I was super excited about as I had heard such amazing things about it. For those who don't know, its a clothing shop that originated in LA and we now are lucky enough to have a shop here in the UK.

There were so many lovely things in there, I really had to restrain myself but after trying on a large bundle of options, in the end I bought the gorgeous items below.

Plain White Tee - This over sized tee which is perfect for the summer to go with a pair of denim shorts, dressed up with a necklace. The quality of all of the products is so amazing. The t-shirts are so soft and just beautiful to wear. I love nothing more than plain t-shirts to wear with a pair of black jeans for a really casual but clean look, however I often find white t-shirts don't last as long as you would hope because they discolour and loose their shape. I am intrigued to see if these will solve that problem.

Stripy Tee - I got a stripy tee in maroon and white, again extremely soft cotton, really super comfy. I thought the maroon colour was something quite different to anything else I have at the moment so opted for that as they had this in lots and lots of different colours.

Grey Fleck Shorts - The shorts were my favourite purchase because I know I am going to LIVE in these. I am wearing them as I write this post and they so comfortable. I love wearing shorts but denim shorts, I find are just not convenient when you are lounging or not wanting to overly dress up. I am pretty sure they had them in a few different colour options too!

I highly recommend you guys taking a look at her website if you haven't already, I'm sure you will fall in love just like me!

PERSONAL: 18TH BIRTHDAY

On April 6th, I turnt 18, I had the best celebrations I could have asked for. In this post, I wanted to share with you what I got up to!

The first event was going out in my hometown with my closest friends. I wore a dusky pink coloured shift dress that was Missguided. It was £19.99, which was an absolute bargain, the quality of the dress is lovely and I loved the colour. (http://www.missguided.co.uk/daira-loose-shift-dress-in-dusty-pink). Along with this I wore a floral crystal necklace from Primark and platform wedges in nude from Topshop.

The day of my actual birthday I wore a navy bralet from Topshop (£22) and a pair of grey/blue cigarette trousers from RiverIsland (£30). You can't see them very well in the picture below, but its the one of the only ones I have from the evening.

Later on in the week, I went to London for a few days with my dearest Mother, we had a lovely time, and did lots of relaxing, girly things. Of course I did a lot of shopping and below are some of the goodies I bought!

I purchased some new black jeans from Zara (£29.99), they have gorgeous gold buttons and zips which I really liked, they fit me perfectly which is what made me want them so much! Also from Zara I bought these monochrome flatform sandals(£39.99). They are super comfy and I think will be my staple casual shoe for the spring/summer.

Topshop on Oxford Street never disappoints, I came out with some socks which had a lilac/blue theme through out. Some striped jeggings with a roll-up and multiple EOS lip balms. I had one from a friend as a present for my birthday, and then when I saw them in London I bought some more as presents. It truly is the best lip balm, it tastes, smells and works so well.

In the evening we watched 'Matilda' at the Cambridge Theatre. The show was incredible, I loved it so so much! The theatre is fairly small, in comparison to a lot of the theatres in London, so it was nice to feel so close to the stage.

Whilst in London, I visited Portobello Road, had some lunch and viewed the houses I aspire to live in one day...

I had such a wonderful time celebrating my birthday and I would like to thank everyone who made it so fabulous!

p.s....a random recommendation but Harrods New York Cheesecake is the best cheesecake I have ever had. (granted I haven't been to New York to have the real deal yet, but I can't imagine it gets much better!) I took my cheesecake to-go and ate it on a bench in Hyde Park and enjoyed the first bit of sunshine of the month.
